Founded in Seattle in 1920, Eddie Bauer grew from a passion for the outdoors into a brand shaped by a century of exploration. From everyday outdoor essentials to clothing and gear for new adventures, our story has always been connected to the natural world.

Our Heritage

ROOTED IN THE SPIRIT OF EXPLORATION

Eddie Bauer was a Seattle native who grew up hunting and fishing in the forests and mountains of the Pacific Northwest. His love for outdoor adventure inspired the business he established in 1920.

Bauer's Sports Shop became more than a place to find clothing and equipment. It was a gathering place where people could share experiences, exchange knowledge, and celebrate their love of the outdoors.
